A team of glassblowers - as well as neon and flame artisans - will provide demonstrations throughout the evening. Lower East Side Cider Festival, Orchard Street, Sunday, 12 to 4 p.m.
Though most Cider Week activities are designed for those 21 years of age and up, this weekend provides a family fun festival for everyone to enjoy. Cider makers and apple farmers from across New York State will be pouring samples of their hard earned labor, while restaurants including Mission Cantina and Huertas will offer sausage and grilled cheese for pairing purposes. Guests can also partake in a homemade apple pie contest (see here for details), a caramel apple station, and an apple tasting booth. A full line up of Cider Week events, which run throughout the weekend and up until November 15, can be viewed here.
