Hot Cross Buns Special, The Breslin Bar and Dining Room, 16 West 29 Street, Fridays through March 25, 5 p.m.
The Breslin will offer an Easter special on Fridays through March 25. Guests can order currant-topped hot cross buns by the half dozen for $20. The offer is valid for takeaway only and orders can be picked up at the restaurant's host stand on 5 p.m. on the Friday of your reservation. Guests can place hot cross bun orders by emailing here.
St. Patrick's Day Week, Zeppelin Hall, 88 Liberty View Drive, Jersey City, NJ, Friday through March 17
Celebrate St. Patrick with a weeklong special menu at Zeppelin Hall featuring bangers and mash, Guinness beer bratwurst, and other Irish kitchen specialties. The beer hall, which also offers over 100 different brews, will host an Irish band on Saturday, March 12.

Brooklyn's newest dine-in movie theatre launches a new brunch beginning this Saturday. Dishes include loaded breakfast tots with pulled pork and scrambled eggs, sourdough pancakes, and brisket hash. There will also be french toast sticks and a huevos rancheros burrito. Don't forget to try Syndicated's brunch drinks like their Bloody Mary with gochujang and a rum-and-coffee cocktail.
FarePlate: Celebration of Irish Food and Drink, Refinery Rooftop, 63 West 38th Street, Saturday, 4 p.m.
Prep yourself for St. Patrick's Day by learning more about Irish food and beverage makers. A selection of tasting stations at the Refinery Rooftop will sample Irish cream liqueurs, cheeses, and breads among other specialties. Author Imen McDonnell will also be on hand to lead a talk on Irish food, life, and recipes from her book The Farmette Cookbook, Recipes and Adventures from My Life on an Irish Farm. Just Food Conference, Teachers College at Columbia University — Laurie M. Tisch Center for Food, Education, and Policy, 525 W 120th Street, Friday at 5:30 p.m and Sunday at 9 a.m.
Starting on Friday with a pre-conference reception, folks curious about the state of food affairs can liaise with the industry's leading authorities at the Just Food Conference. Farmers of Rise and Root Farm will deliver the keynote address, and conference topics will include urban agriculture movement, food preservation techniques, among others. Admission to Friday's reception includes cocktails, bites, and the opportunity to mingle with conference speakers. Registration starts at $40 for students with a valid ID and can be reserved here.
