Olympics Opening Ceremony Party

Grab a $10 cachaça cocktail and watch the opening ceremonies on the big screen. Some of the specials include the Race to Rio (Avuá Amburana cachaça, lemon, demerara) and the Fresca Colada (Avuá Prata cachaça, strawberry, coconut, lime, and pineapple). Salvation Taco's full menu will be available during the party.

Wild Edibles

Join a forager for an in-depth workshop on how to find and use wild edibles. You'll be able to tour Queens Farm and learn how to harvest and preserve nature-found ingredients. Tickets are $20 for general admission. Get yours here.

Jamaican Independence Day
Hester Street Fair (Hester at Essex Street)
Saturday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Grab Jamaican delicacies courtesy of Spur Tree at the Hester Street Fair, where $10 nabs you a plate of a jerk meat plus sides and dessert. Beer and sangria will be available for purchase.
