Big Gay Ice Cream opened a storefront in the West Village yesterday. No sparkly unicorn murals just yet, but Salty Pimps are up for grabs. 61 Grove Street

After expanding to Jersey City and Philadelphia, Brooklyn-based Barcade has its eye on a Chelsea locale. The owners have been looking at a place on West 24th Street, but no lease has been signed just yet.

After a year of development, Masaharu Morimoto's TriBeCa Canvas will open on Wednesday. The menu features Asian comfort food -- lotus root chips with guacamole, hamachi tacos, and seafood with butter rice and béchamel. Bonus: The spot will stay open until 4 a.m. 313 Church Street

Vietnamese sandwich shop Banhmigos opened over the weekend in Park Slope, Here's Park Slope reports. Grab traditional banh mi with roasted ground pork or with chicken, sausage, portabella mushroom, or tofu. 178 Lincoln Place, Brooklyn
