Botta di Vino Will Indeed Open in Red Hook
Back in February, there was something of a kerfuffle in Red Hook over Dry Dock and Botta di Vino, two competing wine shops on Van Brunt Street; it later escalated when the owners of Botta di Vino were denied their SLA license following an objection based upon something on the shop's website suggesting that customers could drink in its courtyard. Anyway, it looks like come hell, high water, or a rising tide of gentrification, Botta di Vino will finally open: The Brooklyn Paper reports that its owners finally got their license and plan to be in business by next week.
