Breslin Tees & Forkage Fees
Rep your restaurant.
Care to indulge in a bit of mindless chatter about your new favorite pork-parts-and-fat-peddling hot spot? Word over at Eater is that The Breslin is now selling T-shirts bearing cute, snarky animal drawings. (That's a lamb, pictured left, with a word bubble saying, "Oh, fuck!") The shirts are hand numbered and of the limited-edition breed, priced at $25 each.
For a less cheerful way to spend $25 at the restaurant, try bringing your own cake. The blog Real Baking With Rose Levy Beranbaum reports (via Diner's Journal) that a group of friends was charged a whopping $25 "forkage fee" for the use of some begrudgingly distributed utensils for a cake they brought with them. Oh, fuck, indeed.
