Brick Lane Moving to Larger Digs on Second Avenue
We popped by Brick Lane Curry House (306-308 East 6th Street, 212-979-2900) over the weekend, where we learned via a sign in the bathroom, of all things, that the restaurant is planning to relocate to 99 Second Avenue in the coming weeks.
An employee explains that the relocation gets the owners a bigger space between 5th and 6th Streets as well as sidewalk seating, where they hope to serve diners come summer. The curries and tandoor oven will make the move, too -- and you'll still be able to get phaal, one of the hottest dishes in the city.
The move should happen sometime in the next three to four weeks.
