Bussaco, Bellavitae, and West Branch Give Up the Ghost
Fucked in Park Slope reports that, per a sign on its door reading "Closed/That's all folks," Bussaco is, well, closed. A call to the restaurant confirms the closure, which comes a few months after Eater circulated a rumor that all was not well at 833 Union Street.
This hasn't been a good day for news of shuttering restaurants: Over in the West Village, Eater reports that Bellavitae has closed after five years on Minetta Lane, while on the Upper West Side, Grub Street has learned that Tom Valenti's West Branch -- long rumored to be in financial trouble -- has also met its maker.
