Bucket Mondays at Prospect Fort Greene's Prospect will open on Mondays starting March 18. "Bucket Mondays" will celebrate simple home-style cooking from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. and the bar will stay open even later. A pared-down menu will feature fried poussin, cornbread, homemade cole slaw, and a choice of sides like truffle mac-and-cheese, collard greens, and baked beans for $15 a person. You can get six Bud Heavies for $19, and wine will be discounted at $7. Five-course tasting menus at Prospect are available for $80 on other nights. Mondays, however, are just about the basics. 773 Fulton St., Brooklyn
New Desserts at La Mangeoire French restaurant in Midtown La Mangeoire launched a new dessert menu that lets you sample many bites of different sweet treats, from tiny chocolate mousses and lemon tarts to cookies and prune ice cream, served with a choice of coffee, espresso, or cappuccino. The mini tasting is priced at $10.50. 1008 Second Ave.
Tamale Tuesdays at Scratchbread Brooklyn The Bed-Stuy bakery is known for its egg dishes, baked goods, and comfort food, but a new menu showcases Mexican fare. Green tacos -- rice, beans, pickled vegetables, sweet potatoes, greens, hot salsa, and tofu sauce wrapped in lettuce -- will also be offered for $2.50 each.
