Celebrate (And Devour) Pancakes Throughout February at Clinton Street Baking Co.

Here in America, we like to celebrate everything -- especially when there's food involved. The proof is in the pudding . . . and cookies and pie and so on; every single day of the year is designated as a food holiday. Other foods are so delicious -- or have enough crazed fans -- to deserve an entire month. February marks National Hot Breakfast Month, Grapefruit Month, Fondue Month, Potato Lover's Month, and even Fiber Focus Month (we couldn't make that up). But if you ask us, the most important food of February is pancakes.
Clinton Street Baking Co. is preparing a special month-long menu of its famed fluffy, golden-brown stacks served with the works. When Mitch Hedberg described pancakes as "all exciting at first, but then by the end you're sick of 'em," he obviously hadn't tried these. The bakery's special February pancake offerings range from classic combos like Meyer lemon curd with Oregon huckleberry sauce to creative creations like fresh coconut pancakes with caramelized pineapple, brûléed bananas, roasted macadamia nuts, and warm maple butter.
So you can have pancakes for breakfast, brunch, and brinner, the National Pancake Month menu will be served on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Nine special flavors will be rotated throughout the month. Mark your calendars now to ensure you catch a bite of your favorite.
