Chanterelle Menus On Show at Kill Devil Hill Allow You to Reminisce a Little More
Chanterelle's wall of menus.
Chanterelle wasn't just known for its exceptional tasting menu and a wine list selected by one of only a handful of master sommeliers in the city. It was also famous for its series of menu covers designed by such artists, authors, and luminaries as Edward Albee, Matthew Barney, Robert Mapplethorpe, Allen Ginsberg, Annie Leibovitz, Richard Prince, and Bill Cosby. Kill Devil Hill, an antiques store in Greenpoint, will display the menus, including the first one by Marisol the never-seen Chuck Close, February 7 and 8. Several are for sale.
