Cheap Drink Deals at Cubbyhole, Red Heels, Last Exit Bar & Lounge, and The Graham
Looking to pick up a few PBR's? Last Exit features a 2 for 1 Wednesday special
The first snow fell yesterday, and today's high comes in under 40 degrees -- which means it's time to find your favorite fireplace and get cozy. Alternatively, discovering a cheap drink and the warmth of a bartender's conversation should do just fine. Here are a few places you might start.
Cubbyhole, 281 West 12th Street
This long-standing gay bar offers half off well drinks, wine, and beer from 4 to 7 p.m. everyday. You'll also find daily specials that start at 7 p.m.; Wednesday nights bring $4 dark 'n' stormys plus other mixed drinks.
Red Heels, 141 Chrystie Street
From 6 to 8 p.m., deals on drinks are the rage at this second floor lounge. Beers are priced at $3, while well cocktails flow for $5. Wednesday night, ladies are privy to a buy-one-get-one-free special for any drink listed on the menu, while the fellas can occupy their time with one of the many flatscreens broadcasting a game of some sort.
Last Exit Bar & Lounge, 136 Atlantic Avenue, Brooklyn
Two-for-one cans of PBR every Wednesday starting at 7 p.m. make Last Exit a first stop on an Atlantic Avenue bar crawl. If you're able to get there early, you'll find $5 pints and well drinks from 4 to 7 p.m. For groups, there's also buckets of Miller High Life for $15. And for entertainment, the bar plays host to some innovative events, like The Slurring Bee on November 19th, which tests a person's ability to spell the word "buzz" while buzzed.
The Graham, 151 Meserole Street, Brooklyn
From 3 to 8 p.m., customers receive $2 off any drink at the bar, which makes that an ideal time to check out the beer selection here, featuring everything from Blue Point Toasted Lager to more obscure brews like Carton Intermezzo Wasabi Sour. Follow up with $3 well drinks or a $2 tall boy.
