Cheeky Sandwiches Brings Po' Boys and Beignets to Lower Orchard Street
The sands of the New York sandwich landscape have shifted yet again: Cheeky Sandwiches is now serving such New Orleans-style vittles as po' boys, beignets, and Cafe du Monde coffee at 35 Orchard Street.
The folks at Gargyle, a boutique across the street from Cheeky, visited the newly opened shop and, in addition to the aforementioned food, found an open kitchen, a few stools, a Blue Logan mural depicting the artist's friends, and, somewhat jarringly, an indoor outhouse.
