Cipriani Gears Up for Tavern-Style Garage Sale
Fans of opulent restaurant detritus, take note: Like Tavern on the Green before it, the Cipriani restaurant group may have to auction off many of its worldly possessions to pay off its $4 million debt to Capitol One. The Post reports that if the company is forced to sell off its inventory, buyers may get access to "crystal chandeliers, banquettes, chairs, glassware, flatware, table cloths ... antique clocks and a 10-foot-tall wooden giraffe carving." Which isn't quite as grand as Tavern's giant elephant shrubbery, but still.
