Cole's Greenwich Village is the newest restaurant from David Rabin of the Lamb's Club and Jimmy, and is now open for dinner and drinks. Cole's features three rooms: a dining room, cafe, and bottle room, complete with a drink list from a mixologist's wet dream. The dinner menu features American dishes like pork chops, hot flashed squid with chorizo, and Hudson Valley apple crostini. 118 Greenwich Ave.
Malai Marke is the newest addition to the East Village's Curry Row on 6th Street. From Shiva Natarajan, owner of many New York Indian restaurants including Chola and Bhojan, comes grilled kabobs, punjabi dishes, and even some with Portuguese influence. 316 E. 6th St.
Whole Foods on the Upper West Side just got a little boozier. Their wine store has expanded to feature 900 new wines, including some local bottles from Brooklyn and Long Island. The larger space now hold special events and tastings starting tonight. 808 Columbus Ave.
Sag Harbor favorite Sen moved to Flatiron in December and today marks the first lunch service at the Asian fusion restaurant. The daytime menu is available from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and features shoyu truffle butter kamameshi, tuna avacado salad, and chicken udon soup. 12 W. 21st St.
Rogue and Canon opened on Monday on West Houston Street. Named for taking the American "canon" of food and going "rogue," this new spot is deemed modern American with unconventional cocktails from Johnny Swet. 128 W. Houston St.
Miami-based Los Verdes opened in its first New York location in Sunnyside last week. Known for Columbian-style fast food, the chain serves quesadillas, hot dogs, homemade coleslaw, grilled platters, and fresh juices from South America. Lucky for neighbors, the spot stays open until 3 a.m. during the weekdays and until an ungodly 6 a.m. on weekends. Could this be the future of drunk food? 42-46 Greenpoint Ave., Queens
