Here's another reason to celebrate the onset of autumnal cooling: Colicchio & Sons, in a great service to those of us without immediate access to a cider mill, is opening a temporary doughnut stand on the High Line.
From now through October 13, the stand will be selling $2 cider doughnuts and $4 bags of pumpkin spice doughnut holes with cream cheese frosting, made by the restaurant's pastry chef, Stephen Collucci. The stand will also sell $2 cups of cider and other assorted beverages. Five bucks will get you a cup of cider and a choice of two cider doughnuts or a bag of pumpkin doughnut holes.
The stand is located right next to the High Line entrance at 16th Street and Tenth Avenue, and is open daily from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
