Michael Psilakis opened the latest version of MP Taverna in Astoria on Monday. Other outposts of the Greek restaurant have become popular in Roslyn, Long Island, and Irvington, N.Y. Psilakis told Flo Fab that lamb dumplings, a favorite from his original restaurants, and a Greek paella with seafood and sausage will be on the menu. Diners can order a whole spring lamb, baby goat, or pig five days in advance. 31-29 Ditmars Blvd, Queens; 718-777-2187
This week, Vanessa Repice, who owns Sel et Gras in the West Village, opened Charlemagne American Brasserie just around the corner. Chef Jodi Bernhard will prepare traditional moules frites and leeks vinaigrette, and a raw bar will feature razor clams and scallops. 679 Greenwich St.; 646-558-5623
The folks at the Lobster Place in Chelsea Market opened sit-down seafood restaurant, Cull & Pistol, on Tuesday. Craft beers are on tap and diners can enjoy classic New England seafood fare -- lobster bisque, clam chowder, crabcakes, and Old Bay-seasoned fries -- or splurge on a clambake lunch for two that includes Dickson's chorizo, steamer clams, littleneck clams, and mussels. 75 Ninth Ave.; 646-568-1223
Eastwood Bar, a new bar on the Lower East Side from Andrew States and Sivan Harlap, opened last Friday, according to The Lo Down. A small menu will feature fish and chips, falafel, and grilled cheese on pita, and the bar offers a two-for-one happy hour from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. 221 East Broadway; 917-284-4514
Craig Samuel and Ben Grossman started a mini-empire in Brooklyn with Peaches, Little Brother BBQ, and the Smoke Joint. Their latest, Marietta, opens Thursday, Flo Fab learned. Samuel said it's likely to be their flagship. The menu offers "evolutionary Southern" cuisine and dishes are "rooted in French techniques." 285 Grand Ave.; 718-638-9500
