Danny Meyer Rumored to Be Selling Eleven Madison Park
Is Eleven Madison Park, the four-starred pride of Danny Meyer's Union Square Hospitality Group, about to be sold? That's the rumor over at Eater, which says that "sources" are claiming that the restaurant is going to be sold to the developers behind the soon-to-open NoMad Hotel. While none of the parties involved will comment, Eater does bring up some pretty convincing evidence that a change is on the way.
For one, Eleven Madison Park's chef, Daniel Humm, and general manager, Will Guidara, were both hired to run the food and beverage program at the NoMad. The two are both rumored to be involved with the NoMad Hotel developers who are looking to take Danny Meyer's most respected restaurant off his hands. Eleven Madison Park also has different PR representation than all of the other USHG properties. All in all, pretty intriguing evidence, but so far Meyer and the people behind the NoMad Hotel haven't commented, so take it with a grain of Himalayan pink salt.
