D.C. Import Casa Nonna Gears Up for June Opening
The BLT Group announced last year that it would import its D.C. family-style Italian, Casa Nonna, to New York. The restaurant is getting ready to open at 310 West 38th Street in early June and is still seeking line cooks.
According to the SLA's website, it looks like a liquor license is still pending. Amy Brandwein, the executive chef at the D.C. branch, has designed the New York menu, which will include Roman and Tuscan influences, as well as wood-fired pizza. But a local chef will be hired to execute it.
