In case you didn't know: International pancake day is this coming Tuesday, February 17. And to honor the glory of one of the world's favorite breakfast (or dessert) foods, Nutella has teamed up with one of the most esteemed pastry chefs on the planet, Dominique Ansel. Together, they're hosting a massive party in Vanderbilt Hall at Grand Central Terminal (89 East 42nd Street; 212-340-2583) with a Nutella/Ansel hybrid dessert.

Taking place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., the event will feature a couple hazelnut spread-laced treats. There will be a Nutella pancake bar with silver dollar flapjacks, Nutella, and a selection of toppings (bananas, strawberries, etc.). And photo ops with branded pops will be offered.

Free food is always a good thing, but the real excitement comes from Ansel's newest creation, the Nutella Pancake Cone. The two- or three-bite dessert is exactly as the name suggests, a mini pancake rolled into cone form, then topped with a dollop of the hazelnut spread. A few flakes of sea salt finish it off.

Only 2,000 of the limited-edition treats are available, and the limit is two per person. That means only 1,000 lucky souls will get the chance to sample the one-day-only dessert. So, if you want to try it out, you'll need to arrive early. (Imagine the Cronut line times a thousand.)

This isn't the first time the renowned chef (and ardent Nutella fan) and the beloved brand have teamed up. To celebrate Nutella's 50th anniversary last May, Ansel made special cronut holes for an event in Madison Square Garden. "There's something about Nutella that goes beyond just the flavors of hazelnut and cocoa, but has an emotion that brings me right back to my childhood," says Ansel. "It is always a fun inspiration for new creations. I am thrilled to partner with Nutella again and put a creative spin on the traditional pancake for International Pancake Tuesday celebration."

The official hashtag for the event is #NutellaPancakeTuesday.
