Dorie Greenspan Will Bestow Her Cookies Upon Us
Dorie Greenspan is getting out of the kitchen and into the cookie business.
Some excellent news for home bakers and sweet tooths alike: Pastry goddess and cookbook author Dorie Greenspan will bestow her cookies upon New York at a pop-up store called CookieBar from Feb. 8-13.
Per the Feed, the store will be located, somewhat randomly, at the Mizu salon on Park Avenue between 59th and 60th Streets. Greenspan will be operating the store with her son, Josh, known as The Kid to readers of Greenspan's books, which include Baking From My Home to Yours and Baking With Julia.
According to the Feed, the cookies will include molasses spice, espresso shortbread chocolate chip, coconut puffs, nut crackles, and the chocolate chunker, a volatile, delirious combination of salted cashews, dried cherries, unsweetened and bittersweet chocolates. Prices will most likely range from $2.50-$4.
And the best news? The Greenspans are planning to make their pop-up store a precursor to an actual storefront, which they hope will open by the end of the year.
