Eat Like a King(s County Resident) at Tasting Brooklyn, Brooklyn Flea

We're not sure if it quite qualifies as the "first ever" tasting event focused on the borough, as Tasting Brooklyn is billing itself, considering the number of locavoric food fests in the County of Kings. But it's sure to be a good bet for anyone wanting to hit up a couple dozen Brooklyn eateries in one shot.
The event takes place Tuesday, April 5, starting at 5:30 p.m. at the Dumbo Loft, and will feature dishes from Barrio Foods, Clover Club, Fornino, Loreley Williamsburg, Osteria il Paiolo, Palo Santo, Purple Yam, Red Hook Lobster Pound, Robicelli's,Tanoreen, Tchoup Shop, Thistle Hill Tavern, and more. Wines by Bouké Wines and Brooklyn Oenology will also be offered. General admission is $45; VIP tickets are $60 and include a gift bag. Proceeds go toward the Brooklyn Food Coalition, which promotes sustainable, healthy food in the borough.
If you can't wait until Tuesday to get your Brooklyn eats on, head over to the outdoor opening weekend of the Brooklyn Flea this Saturday and Sunday. There are plenty of new food vendors to get excited about, including Brooklyn Bangers by Saul Bolton, Empire Mayonnaise by Sam Mason, and doughnuts by Dough. Yes, those doughnuts.
