Following Sarah Palin Tomato Attack, a Brief History of Throwing Food
Isn't it a little harsh for Jeremy Paul Olson to have been incarcerated for throwing tomatoes at Sarah Palin at her Mall of America book signing earlier this week (especially considering that he missed the former Alaska governor entirely)? Past edible projectile victims include Roman Emperor Vespasianus Caesar Augustus, who was assaulted with turnips; President Nixon, who was on the receiving end of a shower of eggs and tomatoes; and the politically driven (and well deserved) pieing of Ann Coulter.
