Fork in the Road Observes National Mushroom Month
For the last few weeks, Fork in the Road staffers have been receiving urgent and annoying emails encouraging us to participate in the celebration of September as National Mushroom Month. We're so tired of these declared celebratory time periods, we could puke. But we couldn't help noticing that one of our favorite mushrooms was missing from the press releases, maybe because the flaks were keeping them all to themselves.
So, in observance of this very important month, we offer you a picture of hallucinogenic psilocybin mushrooms as they're currently sold--ensconced in chocolate bonbons, usually retailing for $25 apiece. But don't look for them in Whole Foods--try some dark alleyway.
