Four Loko: How to Make Your Own
Yesterday, The Atlantic Food Channel posted a recipe for "a really horrible beverage" that is sort of supposed to mirror the flavor profile of Four Loko. A valiant effort, but here's a much simpler homemade version.
Take a few diet pills (the kind loaded caffeine and guarana, of course) and chase them with a few swigs of Boone's Farm (any flavor will do, but if possible, choose one that resembles a Four Loko flavor). Add a shot of grain alcohol and some seltzer water to the Boone's Farm bottle and swirl to combine. Start drinking and wait for that warm and tingly sensation to hit.
