With Chelsea Market approaching capacity, outer-borough fixtures and Smorgasburg vendors seeking their places in the High Line's shadow have had to look elsewhere. Enter Gansevoort Market (52 Gansevoort Street; 212-242-1701), which opened last week in an 8,000-square-foot warehouse once home to a 19th-century trading post, on a street now better known for Bubby's and The Griffin.

And while new additions -- including a third outpost of Luzzo's, and multiple beer and wine licenses -- are forthcoming, tourists, nannies, shop girls, and Googlers are already discovering the market's disparate collection of all-day eats. Healthy and addictive morning fixes are available from Greenpoint's Champion Coffee and Village juice bar Feelfood, which serves ice-cold açai and raw granola bowls. As the sun sets over the rooftop skylight after work, there are hearty happy-hour snacking options aplenty, including raw-oyster platters from Ed's Lobster Bar and tapas from East Village Basque cooking bastion Donostia.

Gansevoort Market's also the first permanent home for a slew of new vendors like The Pig Guy, Dana's Bakery, and Smorgasburg staple The Bruffin, known for its savory brioche-muffin hybrids, stuffed with internationally inspired meat-and-vegetable combinations like pepperoni with Parmesan, and lardons with brie. You can also get haute hoagies from Cappone's Salumeria, an old-school Italian deli counter, and tacos from the first VW bus housing a Tacombi taco stand on Manhattan's west side.

There's also a food bar for every appetite, including an express sushi bar from East Village critical favorite Sushi Dojo; Yiaourti, a new Greek yogurt bar concept; and next-to-open Bangkok Bar.
