Goodbye, Teeny Sandwiches: Reis 100 Closed
Doll house sandwiches turn out not to be a good business plan
Last August, we brought you the Early Word on Reis 100 Sandwich Factory, the mini-sandwich annex to popular Brooklyn watering hole Bar Reis. Well, we hate to say we told you so, but it turns out that itsy-bitsy sandwiches that cost $3.50 were not long for this world, and the Sandwich Factory has closed. A few of the offerings were very tasty, and came on quality bread, but they were too dainty to be good bar food. Now the 375 Fifth Avenue space is papered over, workers busy renovating. How about a poutine joint? Or a chaat stand?
