Graffit Opens Tomorrow
The graffiti at Graffit.
You've seen the art. You've met the chef. At last, Jesús Núñez's Graffit is set to open tomorrow. The restaurant promises to bring to New York the kind of the avant-garde cuisine Spain has been known for over the last few years, with a nod to the chef-owner's youth as a graffiti and fine artist.
Diner's Journal has a look at the concept and Núñez's own vision. Expect off-the-wall dishes like Tortilla Espanola served in a martini glass, featuring eight different textures from fried potatoes to creamy onions topped with an egg soufflé; and an edible sangria with layers of white wine, fresh fruits, gelatin, and wine gelées.
