Hip Sips: Williamsburg Hipsters Adopt the Young Coconut
The Times' Style section had a piece this weekend on "the latest formerly humble food to be discovered by New York City's style set." It's the young coconut, sold in bodegas in hipster-infested Williamsburg but also across the outer boroughs as a refreshing readymade drink. Hacked to order, simply insert a straw and let the hydrating potassium-rich juice inside do its job (i.e., make you look cool).
