How Do You Spell G-U-T-B-O-M-B?--Eddies Sweet Shop
This Star Wars fan selected a sundae of chocolate ice cream topped with hot fudge, marshmallow syrup, and M & M's. Quick! Click on it before it melts!
Founded in 1909, and looking every year its age, Eddies Sweet Shop in Forest Hills is one of the city's great ancient ice cream parlors. They make all their own ice cream, and there's nothing better on a hot summer afternoon than sitting in one of the dark wood booths and wiggling your toes as you enjoy an ice cream sundae. The hot fudge is thick and rich, the caramel properly salty, and there are nearly a dozen other syrup flavors. Their specialty is the sort of elaborate, multi-topping sundae of which the above picture is a pale shadow. There's a movie theater a block away where you can sleep it off. 105-29 Metropolitan Avenue, Forest Hills, Queens, 718-520-8514
