Life-changing. Iconic. Big words likes these are getting thrown around a lot these days. Nation's Restaurant News has named its 50 All-American Icons of the restaurant industry, which include a number of New York institutions, of course. But who was omitted?

The Four Seasons, Katz's Delicatessen, Nathan's Famous, The Palm, and Serendipity 3 made the list. But what about Carmine's, Grimaldi's, or even Peter Luger? If we're talking pure old-school Gotham-ness, which iconic New York restaurants do you think should have been included?
