Is Staten Island Being Snubbed By Food Trucks? Like, Duh.
Here's a shocker: Fancy food trucks don't want to peddled their organic hot dogs and Koreanized tacos on Staten Island.
The New York Post is reporting that with only 14 vendors licensed to sell on S.I., the borough is the only one not to hit its 50-vendor maximum -- including the Bronx. The city is literally begging vendors to apply for permits there, but can the food-truck model work in the Lost Borough? We grabbed the first Staten Islander we could find, who had this to say: "Does anyone even walk in Staten Island?" Enough said.
