Jake's Wayback Burger to Bring Yet More Ground Beef to Downtown Brooklyn
How many burger chains can one neighborhood stomach? Apparently, at least three of them: In addition to Shake Shack and Smashburger, Jake's Wayback Burger is now calling Downtown Brooklyn home.
Per reps for the Delaware-based chain, which bills itself as "America's hometown burger joint," the restaurant will open its doors at 125 Livingston Street at 10:30 a.m. this Friday.
The Brooklyn location is but one of nine that the company is opening throughout the mid-Atlantic region. It claims to serve "big, juicy hand-made burgers and real milkshakes," much like Shake Shack, which, according to Google Maps, is 0.1 miles from Jake's. But Shake Shack's titular creations may not face much competition from Jake's, at least according to one Yelper: "Some flavors are the best you can ever have, and some just make you go 'meh.'"
