Le Parker Meridien's Burger Joint Opens on West 8th Street
What's more fun than keeping a secret? Blowing one up. Just ask the team behind Burger Joint, the much-loved, semi-underground casual restaurant that's been operating within Le Parker Meridien hotel for the past decade. Today, it was revealed that the spot is opening a second New York location--on the NYU-heavy section of West 8th street--following its recent success in Seoul.
Burger Joint focuses exclusively on unfussy-but-excellent burgers (the president of the operation told Eater that they aim to "do one thing and do it well"), so don't expect any locally sourced meat or brioche buns. Instead, order a 5-ounce beef patty on an old-fashioned hamburger roll and side of almost-too-salty fries. And then tell everyone you know. [NYTimes]
