Let's All Lay Off the Dog Food, Already.
Hands off, people.
Why is everyone eating dog food these days? A pair of Brooklyn women chowed down on dog chow for a month to promote their people-grade pet food. And an Ohio woman went on a dog-food diet to protest animal cruelty. Now, a University of Virginia student has been rushed to the hospital following an incident that involved him eating dog food, matzo balls, gefilte fish, and soy sauce.
According to Fox News, the 19-year-old first-year student was pledging at Zeta Psi fraternity, and was possibly participating in some sort of hazing ritual. He was hospitalized for four days.
Hopefully, the incident can put an end to all this pet-food bingeing. Of course, we understand the appeal, here at Fork in the Road. We've indulged in the odd milk bone ourselves.
