Mohamed Beydoun Charged With Reckless Endangerment After Frites n Meats Explosion
Mark Iacono isn't the only chef to accrue both injuries and a rap sheet over the last month: Mohamed Beydoun, who with his two brothers owns the Frites 'n' Meats truck, has been charged with reckless endangerment following the truck's crash and subsequent explosion last month.
DNAinfo brings the news that Beydoun, who suffered severe burns in the crash, was charged after FDNY investigators discovered that the truck had been carrying four propane tanks, which is twice the legal limit. To make matters worse, Beydoun had also been driving with the stove on. Despite all of the tsuris -- Beydoun's court date is June 6 -- the brothers hope to have the truck back in the road by early August, with the same menu of burgers and fries.
