Speaking of Fieri, it apparently costs $100,000 to book him for an appearance. According to The Smoking Gun, Fieri was paid that much for a 60-minute appearance at the New York State Fair in August. His company, Knuckle Sandwich LLC, was also paid $1500 to cover his travel costs. [The Smoking Gun]
It must be tough hosting a cooking TV show. Padma Lakshmi of Top Chef revealed how that she gained 13 pounds while filming Season 10. [The Braiser]
Michael Anthony, the executive chef of Gramercy Tavern, was over at Yale to talk about sustainable food practices. Gramercy Tavern gets their produce from the Union Square Green Market.
