More Reasons to Go to Brooklyn Pour Craft Beer Festival
Have you purchased your ticket for our Brooklyn Pour craft beer festival, going down on October 12 at Skylight One Hanson in Fort Greene? Get on it: VIP tickets--which get you early access to brews plus admission to a private lounge--are nearly sold out, and general admission tickets are going quickly, too. Moreover, we've just learned a few more compelling details about the party to help convince you.
For starters, we've got an exciting line-up of Beer Talks in the works. Brewer Chris Cuzme from 508 Gastrobrewery will drop knowledge on New York City's extensive imported and domestic beer selection and divulge what that means for brewing operations in the Big Apple. He'll also join Mary Izett from Heritage Radio Network's Fuhmentaboudit! to discuss urban homebrewing. UnTappd co-founder Greg Avola will speak about beer and social media, and photographer John Kleinchester will drop best practices for taking photos (Instagram or otherwise) of pints.
Music at the event, we've just learned, includes DJ sets by Marissa Paternoster (Screaming Females and Noun) and Joe Steinhardt (co-founder of Don Giovanni Records and guitarist for Modern Hut).
And we've also confirmed 13 more breweries for this shindig, which brings our total beer-maker count up to 56--and our total number of beers pouring that day to well over 100.
New entrants include Alphabet City Brewing Company, Barrier Brewing Co., Brooklyn Brewery, Captain Lawrence Brewing Company, Chelsea Brewing Company, Harlem Brewing Company, Magic Hat Brewing Company, Pyramid Breweries, Smuttynose Brewing Company, Three Heads Brewing, Unibroue, Wandering Star Brewery, and Weyerbacher Brewing Co., which join a line-up already filled out with some prolific local and international crafters.
Already confirmed, as a refresher, are 508 Gastrobrewery, ACE Ciders, Blanche de Bruxelles, Boulder Beer, Brewery Ommegang, Brewery Timmermans, Brooklyn Brew Shop, City Island Beer, Dogfish Head Brewery, Founders Brewing Co., Goose Island, Grimm Artisanal Ales, Harpoon Brewery, Heartland Brewery, Hovels Original, KelSo Beer Company, La Trappe, Lagunitas Brewing Company, Lucifer Hard Cider, McKenzie's Hard Cider, Mendicino Brewing Company, Old Speckled Hen, Olde Saratoga Brewing Company, Original Sin Hard Cider, Otter Creek Brewing, Pauwel Kwak, Queens Brewery, Radeberger, Rockaway Brewing Company, Shmaltz Brewing Co., Sierra Nevada Brewing Co., Singlecut Beersmiths, Sixpoint Brewery, St. Feuillien Brewery, Steadfast Beer Co., The Atlantic Brewing Company, The Bronx Brewery, Tripel Karmeliet, Veltins, Victory Brewing Company, Weihenstephan, Wolaver's Fine Organic Ales, and Woodchuck Hard Cider.
