The Heyward's new Southern-focused brunch offers classic cocktails like the Porchside Smash to pair with country ham steak and grits, she-crab benedict, and hoppin' john. The restaurant also has fresh raw bar offerings as well as shareable meat and cheese boards. Brunch plates range from $9 to $19.

Experience the meatpacking district during the day for a change, at this one-day festival that includes a pop-up beer garden from Pounds & Ounces and a selection of local eats. In addition to food and drink offerings from Mighty Quinns and Melt Bakery, the street fair will include a selection of goods from local designers, artists, and live entertainment.
Chef Camille Becerra Presents Navy Nights, the Palms, 1-89 Beach 96th Street, Queens, Saturday, 7 p.m.
Pack your suntan lotion and take a late-afternoon dip this weekend, because Camille Becerra of Soho seafood spot Navy is hosting a beachside dinner at the new Palms party pad in the Rockaways. The five-course seasonal menu — $75 per person — also includes dessert from Morgenstern's Finest Ice Cream; reserve your seat in the shade here.
Copenhagen Street Dog Launch Party, the Delancey, 168 Delancey Street, Sunday, 1 to 4 p.m.
While celebrating the launch of the Copenhagen-style hot dog in stores throughout the U.S., revelers can chow down on Danish hot dogs and gourmet liquorice (a/k/a lakrids) while dancing on the Delancey's rooftop.
