New Collaboration from Dogfish Head and Brooklyn Brine

Sam Calagione, founder of Dogfish Head, and Shamus Jones, founder of Brooklyn Brine, have joined forces to create beer-infused pickles. The brewer tells the Wall Street Journal that he reached out to Jones in March to talk about collaborating. Jones happily experimented with hop flowers, hop pellets and hop oil, before nailing the Hop Pickle: cukes in a vinegar brine dosed with 60-Minute India Pale Ale and hop oil.

The Hop Pickle will roll out to various retailers over the next few weeks, and go for $10 to $12 a jar. You'll also find them at Brooklyn Brine's brand new store, beside seasonal vegetables that are preserved by lacto-fermentation, rather than brine.
