New York City Restaurant Week Begins. (Or Did it Just Never End?)
Oh, New York City Restaurant Week. Save for a few decent deals, you sucker people into paying for crappier food than what you normally serve. Vegetable soups and green salads are the primary appetizers. Chicken-breast entrées abound like toplessness at Cannes. Panna cotta is always the sweet finale. Still, some deals exist, and you can at least check out the Restaurant Week menus online.
This summer's Restaurant Week begins today and will last until July 24, but everyone knows it will be extended through the end of summer, just like every summer. Just make sure to do your research and look for places that are offering the same dishes on their Restaurant Week menu as on their regular menu. Lunches will be $24.07 and dinners $35. As always, caveat emptor.
