Since opening last summer, Nicholas Morgenstern's The General Greene (229 Dekalb Avenue) has quickly become a neighborhood mainstay. With its NBC small plates and recent expansion to weekday breakfast and lunch, it continues to cement its place at the center of Ft. Greene's growing restaurant scene. We recently caught up with Morgenstern and asked him our Four Questions Not About Food.
What was the last book you read and did you enjoy it?
Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. Of course i liked it.
What animal would you like to be reincarnated as and why?
A gazelle, easier to get around the dining room.

Work dream. It's not good when you dream about brunch in the middle of the week.
