Nicky's Vietnamese Sandwiches, Contrary to CB3 SLA Agenda, Is Staying on East 2nd Street

Community Board 3 just unleashed its September SLA committee meeting agenda. Its "Applications within Resolution Areas" includes the following:
"10. Corp to be Formed, 150 E 2nd St (wb) (aka: 24 Ave A)"
That address is known to banh mi pilgrims as the home of Nicky's Vietnamese Sandwiches. Earlier this year, it seemed as though the diminutive shop, which has been on East 2nd since 2004, would be moving, thanks to a rent dispute with the landlord. So the SLA agenda would seem to suggest that Nicky's is indeed closing.
Fortunately, that's not the case. We called Nicky's a few minutes ago and spoke with one of its workers, who told us that "my boss renewed the lease" after reaching an agreement with the landlord. The item on the SLA agenda was put there before the new lease was signed, but contrary to what it implies, she said, Nicky's should be there for "quite a while."
