The owner of the Greenwich Village baked-goods shop One Tough Cookie has filed a trademark lawsuit against the Food Network for its forthcoming bakery reality show, Tough Cookies. [Reuters]
Meanwhile, new research suggests that eating baked goods that contain milk may help children get over milk allergies (which are not the same as being lactose intolerant). [Reuters]
The new food plate, which replaces the old food pyramid, is called MyPlate and is split into four sections: fruit, vegetables, grains, and protein. [NY Times]
