Cafe Zest in Midtown has closed. The awning now reads Amakusa and a sign on the door says new management will be opening a new restaurant soon. [Midtown Lunch]

Mi Cocina in the West Village, which owed back rent and taxes, has closed. The landlord has plans to rent out the space as a fully-equipped restaurant. [Eater]
