Restaurants and bars, they come and they go. Here are a few making their debuts and bowing out this week.

Elaine's was unable to survive the death of its owner and namesake, Elaine Kaufman. Six months after her passing, it's shuttering for good. [Eater]

Bread Stuy was reportedly "closed by order of the Commissioner of Health and Mental Hygiene for operating without a permit." The owner said he won't fight back. [Brownstoner]

Mason Dixon has finally caved to NYPD pressure. After repeated ticketing and a recent shutdown, it will close its doors for good. [Running Scared]

Dos Toros is getting a West Village outpost, opening next week. The menu will be the same as at the East Side original, with the bonus of outdoor seating. [TONY]

The Hell's Kitchen trattoria Bocca di Bacco recently got an Upper East Side outpost. The menu includes classic Italian dishes and some with an Asian accent. [TONY]

Xi'an Famous Foods' fifth location is opening this weekend, its second in Manhattan's Chinatown. More spicy noodles and cumin-spiced burgers coming at you. [TONY]

900 Degrees hopes to set Itself apart with pizzas with different types of dough. The team behind Tony's Pizza Napoletana of San Francisco is also offering unusual toppings like lamb, feta, and eucalyptus. [NY Times]

The Hotel on Rivington's second attempt at a restaurant is Co-op Food and Drink. Expect small plates, steak and seafood classics, and soon a taqueria, raw bar, and sake bar. [NY Times]
