Restaurants and bars, they come and they go. Here are a few making their debuts and bowing out this week.
Yummy House, a popular Chinese takeout joint in the East Village, has shuttered. [EV Grieve]
BEast, the speakeasy-style lounge that lived beneath the now-defunct Broadway East, has closed to make room for a series of as-yet-unnamed pop-up projects. [Grub Street]
Vine Wine in Long Island City is packing up and moving to Williamsburg. [NY Times]
Cuba Café in Chelsea is also planning a move. The Havana-themed joint has closed, but the owners hope to reopen in Hell's Kitchen. [Zagat Buzz]
Tribeca is getting a new Italian. Tresanti Trattoria will offer thin-crust pizza and mains like rabbit in currant sauce. [NY Times]
Mark Iacono of Lucali opens a Sunset Park spin-off run by his brother, Chris. Giuseppina has the same menu of calzones and thin-crust pizzas, but with a beer and wine license. [TONY]
Bistro Lamazou is a new Mediterranean bistro in Kips Bay by the owners of the Lamazou cheese shop nearby. [TONY]
The Campo and Nonna team has opened Columbus Tavern, serving hearty plates like white-bean cassoulet, lamb-shank shepherd's pie, and a brisket-and-bone-marrow burger. [TONY]
Emma Hearst and Sarah Krathen of Sorella have expanded with Stellina, a little café and gelateria. [TONY]
The new brick-and-mortar location of Van Leeuwen Ice Cream has arrived in Boerum Hill. [Brooklyn Paper]
Two longtime bartenders from the Half King are branching out to open their own place in Bushwick. The nautically themed Anchored Inn will serve craft beer and bar snacks. [Grub Street]
Tenpenny is a new Italianish restaurant in the Gotham Hotel. Dishes like salt-roasted beets and porchetta raviolo are listed alongside classically inspired cocktails. [TONY]
The steampunk-themed Way Station in Prospect Heights is finally open. Expect craft beer, seasonal cocktails, and Doctor Who-inspired design. [TONY]
The Cooper Square Hotel is getting a new restaurant to replace the short-lived Faustina. Trilby will be dark, moody, and have "interesting" furniture. [Eater]
