Open & Closed: Say Hello to Ofrenda; Goodbye to Rainbow Cafe (in Manhattan)
The Loading Dock, an expansion of Forrest Cole's Choncho's Tacos cart at the Brooklyn Flea, has opened in Downtown Brooklyn. Serving Mexican-style eggs, tacos made with tortillas from Corona's Nixtamal, and Gorilla coffee, it will also act as a gallery. [NY Magazine]
Peter Poulakakos, whose father Harry Poulakakos owns Harry's Cafe, has introduced Vintry Wine & Whiskey on Stone Street, featuring 80 wines by the glass, as well as 200 whiskeys. [TONY]
Luis Arce Mota, who used to own Cafe Condesa, has opened Ofrenda, a home-style Mexican in the West Village. Dishes are inspired by his mom and childhood in Mazatlan. [Grub Street]
