Open & Closed: Say Hello to Organika, Goodbye to Bonita

East Dumpling House has opened at the corner of 106th Street and Broadway, specializing in "dumplings, noodles, buns, and scallion pancakes." [Eater]

A restaurant not sounding Italian at all, Organika, has opened in Greenwich Village, serving bruschettas, pizzas, panini, and pastas, which employ local, sustainable, and artisanal ingredients. [NY Times]

Kuma Inn chef-owner King Phojanakong is opening a Brooklyn branch of his Filipino tapas restaurant. Umi Nom means "to drink," and will feature a selection of sakes once the liquor license clears. [TONY]

The taco joint by Andrew Tarlow and Mark Firth of Diner/Marlow & Sons fame, Bonita, is set to close August 15 due in large part to problems they had with the landlord, including never being able to secure a full liquor license. [Brooklyn Based]

The W New York "The Court" hotel's restaurant, Icon, closed last week due to a lack of business. The hotel is retaining chef Michael Wurster, and may reopen the space as another restaurant. [Grub Street]
