Restaurants and bars, they come and they go. Here are a few making their debuts and bowing out this week.
Bravo Gianni, a go-to Midtown Northern Italian, has closed after nearly 30 years in operation due to the chef and owner, Gianni Garavelli, suffering a stroke. [NY Times]
Hell's Kitchen gets an artisanal ice cream-and-cookie dough purveyor in Je & Jo. Their nine flavors include vanilla bean ice cream with chocolate chip cookie dough. [TONY]
PizzArte will specialize in pizza and ... art? The pizzaiolo is from Naples and so are other dishes like polpettine and paccheri al baccala. [TONY]
Massachusetts import Steve's Craft Ice Cream is coming to Midtown. It will offer locavoric treats like Hudson Valley Fresh milk, Kombucha Brooklyn, and Ovenly baked goods. [TONY]
Josh Eden of Shorty's .32 is the consulting chef at the gastro-sports bar Pour George. Expect dishes like cod fritters with garlic cream and a steak tartare burger. [NY Times]
